Overview

What You Will Do

Lefield Labs is looking for a Web Analytics Lead to join our elite talent bench. This is not a standard marketing dashboard role; we need a strategic partner who understands the fundamentals of web analytics and product experiences.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end measurement lifecycle—from translating business questions into tracking specs to auditing GA4 implementations and delivering high-level insights to clients.

  • Translate high-level business questions into trackable events and success metrics
  • Define and maintain comprehensive Tracking/Tagging Plans
  • Establish and enforce strict naming conventions and parameter hygiene across projects
  • Work closely with dev teams on dataLayer implementations and custom event tracking
  • Manage complex GA4 environments including events, user properties, conversion validation, and audience segmentation
  • Utilize Explorations (funnel analysis, pathing, and segment overlap) to uncover UX friction
  • Produce performance summaries and recommendations based on content engagement and funnel drop-off
  • Build clean, client-facing dashboards in Looker Studio
  • Conduct ad-hoc investigations to answer specific product-experience questions

Required Skills

What You Will Need to be Successful

  • Deep, hands-on experience with GA4 (Events, Conversions, DebugView)
  • GA4, Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, and collaboration tools (JIRA, Slack)
  • Strong grasp of conversion funnels, attribution basics, and KPI frameworks
  • Proficiency in tag configuration, custom variables, versioning, and rollback practices
  • Validation workflow using Tag Assistant, network inspections, and cross-browser testing
  • You are comfortable leading a call and explaining "the why" behind the data to non-technical stakeholders
  • You treat documentation as a core deliverable, not an afterthought
