LFL is  closely collaborating with illumend, an AI-first partnership acceleration platform that’s building solutions in the insurance sector. The partnership leverages 15 years of insurance compliance expertise with LFL's creative technology and applied AI capabilities. The Illumend platform aims to make meaningful risk management accessible to all businesses by providing an intuitive interface for non-insurance professionals to track compliance.

Who We Are Seeking

 

Left Field Labs is partnering with Illumend to find a dynamic and strategic Account Executive to aid the launch of a category-defining AI solution in an underserved market. This is a unique, ground-floor opportunity with a high-growth trajectory. You will operate with the autonomy and energy of a 10-person startup, backed by the infrastructure and credibility of a proven parent company.

What You Will Do

This is a high-impact role that requires a blend of an Account Executive mindset and deep Sales Strategy expertise. The ideal candidate is passionate about the power of AI, skilled in relationship-building, and possesses the drive to secure significant upsells and transitions through solution-based selling.

  • Customer Migration Strategy: Lead the strategic planning and execution for transitioning an existing portfolio of customers to the illumend platform.
  • Relationship Management & Solution Selling: Serve as the trusted advisor for key customer accounts, engaging in mature, high-level conversations to understand their strategic needs and position illumend as the essential solution.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Aggressively pursue upsell opportunities and secure the adoption of the new product, with a clear focus on hitting ambitious sales targets.
  • Change Management: Effectively manage the customer-facing aspects of the change process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience during the transition to the new solution.
  • Product Expertise: Become proficient in the illumend solution, particularly its AI capabilities, and articulate its value proposition clearly and compellingly to customers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the broader sales and customer success teams, spending significant time working directly with COO or CEO on existing customer interactions.
  • Market Feedback: Collect and relay valuable customer feedback to internal product and strategy teams to ensure the continued success of the illumend rollout.

Required Skills

What You Will Need to be Successful

  • Proven Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in an Account Executive or similar B2B sales role, ideally focused on complex solution selling rather than transactional product sales.
  • Strategic DNA: A relationship-focused seller who is also hungry, strategic, and comfortable navigating large-scale customer migrations and change management.
  • AI Enthusiasm: A genuine interest in Artificial Intelligence and the ability to articulate how AI-driven solutions like illumend can transform a customer's business.
  • Maturity and Experience: Ability to engage in mature, insightful conversations with senior-level customer contacts.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $150,000 and applies only to jobs performed in Culver City, California. This range represents the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Please note that we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
