Who We Are Seeking

Left Field Labs is seeking a talented Software Developer, Frontend Animator to join our team. This role is part right brain, part left brain, a bridge between ideas and technology. You'll work on innovative solutions that are technology-based, combining creative ideas with technical execution. As a senior member of our team, you will lead projects, mentor junior technologists, and push the boundaries of what's possible.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do 

  • Collaborate with developers, designers, producers, and strategists to deliver world class  responsive and accessible websites
  • Leverage the latest web animation tools and techniques to bring motion comps to life
  • Work hand-in-hand with the design team to find creative solutions to our client's needs
  • Rapidly develop and iterate prototypes to drive creativity and help convey concepts with tangible demonstrations.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to be Successful 

 

  • At least 8 years of experience building web-based applications.
  • Ability to transform high-fidelity motion mockups into responsive and optimized web experiences.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing complex animations and interactive web projects.
  • Deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Typescript, and advanced animation techniques (e.g., GreenSock, WebGL).
  • Experience with 2D and 3D JavaScript frameworks like PIXI.js and ThreeJS
  • Advanced experience working directly within the HTML Canvas API for custom rendering and effects.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
  • Strong knowledge of user-centered design methods, information architecture, usability, and interaction design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with direct client interaction and technical project leadership.

Compensation

Compensation

The hourly rate for this role is $75.00-$100.00. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Culver City, California. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
