Overview

As the Sales Director at Left Field Labs, you will lead our revenue growth efforts, focusing on client acquisition and strategic sales planning to meet our business objectives. Your role will involve leveraging industry expertise and strategic insight to seek out and identify new projects and clients based on target verticals, nurture key client relationships, and ensure the effective implementation of sales initiatives.

Responsibilities

  1. Sales Strategy Development and Execution:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to meet or exceed company revenue targets.
    • Seek out new clients and opportunities for the digital team to help grow and advance the business. Identify areas of opportunity based on agency experience, fit and portfolio. 
    • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities for the digital team, focusing on new client acquisitions. 
    • Collaborate with the Pod leadership to align on sales strategies that will meet financial and pod team growth targets. 
  2. Business Development:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and strategic partnerships.
    • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients that align with pod goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with Pod Leadership to prepare and present compelling proposals and pitches to potential clients. 
    • Participate in new business pitches and presentations. 
  3. Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with new clients and stakeholders.
    • Understand client needs and collaborate with pod leads to ensure that we exceed expectations. 
    • Ensure exceptional client satisfaction and retention through proactive account management, effective communication and collaboration with LFL client partners.
  4. Sales Operations:
    • Oversee the sales process, from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Utilize company CRM software to manage and track sales activities and performance metrics.
    • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the executive team.
    • Represent the digital team at weekly sales meetings to present back progress, wins, strategies, and updates.
  5. Market Analysis:
    • Stay current with multiple industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
    • Analyze market data to identify opportunities for growth and areas of improvement.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team based on market analysis.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $120,000-$150,000. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Culver City, California. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in a senior sales role within reputable and well-known digital agencies with case studies and KPI’s to demonstrate success. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of current digital creative agency services, with experience in growing and developing a specific business sector within a reputable creative agency. 
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • You will stay current and knowledgeable about multiple industry verticals, companies, people, publications, announcements, technologies, and competitors, as they may be relevant to Left Field Labs and our core offerings.
  • In addition, you will play a role in promoting Left Field Labs through various communication channels, to warm potential leads, and to develop inbound inquiries.
  • This person will need to regularly source and close new business deals by pitching Left Field Labs’ capabilities, sharing our past work, and presenting great new ideas. This process and goal will include: coordinating with clients to understand requirements, working with internal teams on concepts, strategy, and estimations, developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements within business operations.
  • Experience closing deals in retail, electronics, sports, entertainment, health/ wellness and luxury a plus.
