Overview

Who We Are Seeking

 

We’re looking for a Design Technologist who could up up-level our team and allow us to build more internal frontend applications and prototypes using Generative AI within one of our client teams. The team has several initiatives they're exploring using generative AI from search features within their mobile application, artwork tools to analyze imagery, and UI text tools to generate new names for video carousels.

We’re particularly looking for someone with experience using AWS tools such as Lambda and Bedrock to build internal APIs and serverless functions that the team can reuse. Experience in backend languages like Node.JS and Python are preferred to help set up some infrastructure in our AWS account. 

 

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

 

  • Build high-quality, functional prototypes that convey and advance the vision of future products
  • Collaborate with design leadership and key stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
  • Work alongside designers, researchers, PMs, and engineers to drive concepts from idea to implementation
  • Advance design thinking by leveraging your platform expertise (e.g. web, mobile, TV)

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $115,000 - 140,000. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Culver City, California. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Required Skills

What You’ll Need to be Successful

  • 6+ years of front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience
  • Have coding samples in front end programming languages
    • Technologies Preferred: React.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vite, ESLint, Framer Motion, Git, Redux
  • Experience developing visually polished, engaging, and highly fluid UX prototypes
    • Technologies Preferred: Figma or Protopie experience
  • Experience collaborating with UX, Product, and technical partners
  • Experience working within cloud technologies such as AWS Lambda, CloudFront, S3, EC2, Bedrock
  • Understanding of WCAG AA standards and accessibility fluency
  • Expertise in working creatively around constraints and navigating ambiguous projects
  • Experience leading the development of complex prototypes
  • Experience with a broad range of technologies, including mobile devices, gaming consoles, smart TVs, hardware prototyping, and IoT
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, CI/CD, testing, and operational excellence
  • Experience with machine learning (ML) tools and methods, including familiarity with common frameworks, understanding of core ML concepts, and the ability to prototype and integrate ML-powered features into interactive applications
  • Excellent communication skills, including collecting requirements, describing features, and designing technical solutions
